The Blue Flag certification, presented by the Denmark-based NGO, the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), is a prestigious award given to beaches and coastal lines that meet the international standard of maintenance and the 33 criteria. The 33 criteria include: Water quality, environmental management, Environmental Education and Information, Safety and Services, Code of Conduct, among many others.
