Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Minister Dr P Narayana’s son passed away in the early hours of today in Hyderabad due to a car crash. Nishith and his friend Raja Ravi Chandra crashed the Mercedes Benz they were in to a pillar of Hyderabad Metro at Jubilee Hills at 3 AM.
Both Nishith and Ravi Chandra, son of businessman MM Krishna, suffered critical injuries due to the collision despite the air bags. Initial reports state that the duo was headed home after attending a function when they crashed. Both the victims were rushed to Apollo Hospital immediately but were declared brought dead.
Nishith was one of the directors of the Narayana Educational Group and is survived by his parents and two sisters. His body will soon be shifted to Nellore after the post-mortem and the funeral will be held on Thursday. Telangana Minister T Harish Rao and other ministers visited the hospital to console the family.
CM Chandrababu Naidu, opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and several others have expressed grief over the death of Nishith. The cause of death is unclear, but police suspect that the car was being driven at high speed. It is also unclear as to who was driving the vehicle during the car crash. Dr Narayana’s family members rushed to the hospital and the Minister who’s on a visit to London is rushing back.
