The Captain of Team Kick puts her feet to work against Kavita Devi, the first Indian-born woman to compete in a WWE ring. Video courtesy of the award-winning WWE Network.
Putting India firmly on the world wrestling map and adding an extra Indian glamour element is Kavita Devi. The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is the place where Kavita has shown her prowess and the video has gone viral for all the right reasons. No Indian woman had ventured the arena of WWE before. Khali, Jinder Mahal have done us proud but Kavita is the one to break this male bastion. With style and Indian touch, the wrestler wore a salwar kameez with modesty. Her fight was in no way modest though. Check out the video below to believe us.
Kavita Devi is from Haryana and packs quite a punch. Her training has been done with the great Khali himself. The wrestler whose name is Dalip Singh Rana a.k.a Khali trained her at his wrestling academy in PUnjab. Her shot into success came with her fight with BB Bull Bull which was videpographed. Shared across social media, this video has gone viral and we feel it should.
WWE: Kavita fought New Zealand-based Dakota Kai in the first round of the Mae Young Classic – WWE’s first all-woman competition. Although she defeated skills and choice of attire got everyone’s attention. Her stint with WWE happened after she amazed the judges at 2017 Dubai tryouts. She has us all impressed with her youth, agility, dynamism and power packed performances. Her passion comes through loud and clear in the video. Not shy of donning the traditional garment, she shocked and surprised the world.
We wish the hero, a world of winning fights in arenas all over the world. Let the kameez rule the ring, we say!!
