Bigg Boss Telugu 9: Srija or Bharani, who will stay in the house?

Bigg Boss Telugu 9 is what everyone is talking about, thanks to the show’s sharp turns. Nominations this week have stirred commotion in the Bigg Boss house and among the audience, who are eagerly awaiting the next episode and promo. Ex-contestants entered the house and nominated the housemates this week, based on their performances, and offered housemates a chance to nominate others. Many argued among themselves, opinions were discussed, and accusations were thrown at each other in the house. Here are the voting numbers of the nominated contestants, highlights of the episode, and expectations for today’s episode:

Shrasti’s Nomination:

Shrasti entered the house and nominated Pawan. She listed her reasons, stating that while he is physically strong in the tasks and games, he lacks the mental prowess needed in the house. Pawan defended himself, saying that he uses his knowledge to win physical tasks. Shrasti gave the nomination dagger to Ramu, who nominated Gaurav. He said that Gaurav did not involve himself in the house issues during his captaincy. 

Bharani’s Argument

Bharani entered the house and was warmly greeted by the housemates. He nominated Sanjana, saying that she breaks the rules and expects others to follow them. Sanjana threw back that Bharani was eliminated from the house because of his bonds with the other housemates. They engaged in a verbal spat. He gave the nomination dagger to Nikhil, who chose Thanuja to nominate. 

Thanuja VS Nikhil

Nikhil expressed that he did not like the way she asked Emmanuel to become the captain in last week’s captaincy task. Thanuja supported her point about her discussion with Emmanuel and pointed out that Nikhil has not performed well in any tasks so far. They both clashed about their opinions for a while.

The Aftermath

Divya and Thanuja broke down in tears after Bharani left. Thanuja said that Sanjana is still poking that she is the reason Bharani got eliminated. Divya recalled that Bharani did not look at her once. Gaurav expressed his disappointment in Ramu for nominating him. Emmanuel discussed with Pawan and Rithu that Thanuja and Kalyan are fine, but he is not on good terms with her.  

The Shock Factor

In the morning, the housemates gathered in the garden area and welcomed Srija and Bharani into the house. The two eliminated contestants need to battle it out to win the one permanent housemate spot.

Reality Check

Bigg Boss gave the housemates a chance to offer advice to Srija and Bharani, so that they can improve their gameplay. Divya told Bharani to stop being nice to people who are leaning on him. Emmanuel gave Srija advice not to prolong her statements and speak only to the point. Pawan expressed that Bharani does not trust others. Sanjana offered Bharani advice that he always points out about the sacrifices he has made. Suman told Bharani to play his own game instead of creating bonds with others. Gaurav told Bharani not to be overconfident in the tasks. 

Madhuri told Srija to mind her words. The duo exchanged heated words about each other, adding a tense element to the episode. Gaurav and Divya also got into a verbal spat over the point he made during the Reality Check task, ending the episode on a tense note.

Why the re-entry?

Many people have felt that the reality show is slowly losing its actual essence. The main aspect of the reality show is to lock a group of people in a competitive environment and witness how they behave. The show is introducing the eliminated contestants, not once, not twice, but thrice. Divya entered the house as a single wildcard, which threw the contestants off balance. This was followed by the entry of 6 more wildcards, who have toppled the house upside down. 

Bharani and Srija’s elimination has created outrage in the public. According to the polls, Bharani was not supposed to be eliminated, but due to Emmanuel using the power astra, Ramu got saved. Srija’s case is similar, where she was voted out of the house by the wildcards on their first day. Flora already got eliminated in that episode, and Srija’s elimination in the same episode, where she did not get to see her AV, soured the audience’s opinions. Voting and elimination of the contestants are in the public’s hands, and when eliminations like these occur, frustration builds.

Many speculate that Bharani and Srija’s re-entries are due to the viewer’s agitation over their unfair eliminations.

Expectations:

Today’s episode will feature the Kattu Padagotu challenge, where Srija and Bharani should build a 7-tier castle with the help of the other housemates in the blue box while destroying the other. Bharani’s team consists of Emmanuel, Nikhil, and himself. Srija has Gaurav and Pawan on her team. After the task ended, the housemates were seen arguing about which team won in the end.

The promo ended with Suman, the Sanchalak, declaring Bharani’s team won the task.
