It is a known fact that Vizag turns into a beautiful paradise as soon as rain hits the city. Nobody can deny the fact that it looks its best in and after the rains. The view of the hills covered with clouds and freshly bathed trees is absolutely bliss while the wet sand on the beach and neon lights flashing on food trucks looks like a setup by god himself. If you are a localite, you exactly know how to celebrate monsoon in the city. But if you are unaware of things to do in Vizag while it rains, this article will help you plan your outings with ease. Take notes.

GO ON A DRIVE TILL BHEEMILI

Going on a cozy long drive with your loved ones in the rain is literally the best thing to do. Get in your car {or scooter if you wish to get wet}, start along the Beach Road and drive till Bheemli. Enjoy hot snacks on the way and back while listening to good music. What can beat this now!

HAVE PAKORAS AT LOCAL BANDIS

Hot pakoras and bhajjis are a must have in monsoons (as long as they’re freshly made & hot). The aroma of freshly fried veggies coated in gram flour will make your brain stop. Vizag is blessed to have many food bandis so spotting one becomes very easy.

HEAD TO KAILASAGIRI FOR THE VIEW

Vizag becomes spectacular after the rain. Head to the Titanic point at Kailasagiri hill for the best view the city has to provide. The long coast line and the wet city is soothing to the eyes and the blowing wind at the hill top will give you peace.

ENJOY HOT CORN AT TENNETI PARK

Tenneti Park is another place you can head to after rain showers. Grab a hot roasted corn from the vendors and eat it while looking at the Bay of Bengal. Compliment your corn with a hot cup of coffee or tea available at the shops outside the park.

MAKE PAPER BOATS AND SAIL THEM IN THE SEA

Get your inner child out and make a dozen of colourful paper boats. Take all of them to the beach and sail them in the water. Watch them struggle against the waves and understand as they teach the meaning of life.

GRAB A CUP OF HOT CHOCOLATE

Indulge this romantic season and treat yourself with a cup of delicious hot chocolate at Pastry Coffee and Conversations {PCC}. Relish on some good food at the same place while watching the rain leave the city beautifully drenched.

TAKE A WALK ON THE BEACH ROAD

Nothing can beat it and this is probably the best thing anybody can do in Vizag. Imagine walking down the Beach Road while getting wet in rain and sipping hot coffee. Pure bliss.

ENJOY HOT SOUP AND MOMOS AT THE YMCA MOMO POINT

Head to the Momo Point opposite YMCA to enjoy their momos with spicy chilli sauce and soups in this chill weather. Sit on your vehicle and enjoy a plate of momos with a view. Can monsoon get any better

Now that you have a list to do things, plan your monsoon accordingly to enjoy every day of this beautiful season.
