‘Chief Minister Yuva Nestham’, an unemployment allowance scheme, started in Vizag on Tuesday. Over 14,398 youth were identified eligible for the unemployment allowance of Rs 1,000. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has presented the letters in an event at Madhurawada on Tuesday.
Out of 3.21 lakh who applied for the scheme in the city, the administration has selected 14, 398 youth. the government is still providing a chance for the once for the ones who are eligible to apply.
On an aim to provide financial support to the educated and unemployed individuals, the allowance is being given to over 2 lakh youth in Andhra Pradesh until they find a job. The scheme was promised by the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the election manifesto in 2014.
Parallel to the event, allowance certificates were distributed to the other beneficiaries by the respective MLAs in all 175 constituencies in AP.
