Visakhapatnam district bags seven State-level swachh awards

Visakhapatnam district has won seven State-level and 44 district-level Swarnandhra – Swachh Andhra Awards.

According to District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad, Swarnandhra Swachh Andhra programme is being organised on the 3rd Saturday of every month under the leadership of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

Out of the 42 State-level awards announced, the district bagged seven. While GVMC got the award under Swachh Survekshan category, Simhagiri Colony Mahila Samakhya got the Swachh SLFS award.

Similarly, Gorapalli in Pendurthi mandal got the Swachh Gram Samakhya award, Nadupur ZPHS School, Swachh School, MVP Colony Rythu Bazaar, Swachh Rythu Bazaar, Lotus Wireless Technology, Swachh MSME, and Tirumala Nagar Residential Colony got the Swachh Colony State-level awards.

Expressing happiness over the achievement, the Collector said that Visakhapatnam also won 44 district-level awards.
