Happiness Index To Be Measured In Andhra Pradesh

A happiness index to measure the well-being of people in Andhra Pradesh is underway. It is the CM’s aim to build better health, physical literacy and discipline by measuring happiness as stress is a huge factor that effects most our lives.

Built along the lines of Bhutan’s concept of Gross National Happiness (GNH), the happiness index would be a welcome move. Sustainable development, preservation and promotion of cultural values, conservation of the natural environment and establishment of good governance.

Chandrababu Naidu stated that Andhra Pradesh is not competing with Telangana or any other Indian state but only with reputed cities worldwide. He wants to make our state the best by replicating the best practices that other countries have tried and tested. He further stated that Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have no choice but to depend on each other due to economic reasons. Telangana needs access to the Vizag port and our state needs access to Hyderabad.

Talking to investors during the recently held HT Leadership Summit, the CM said that AP has “the best infrastructure, long coastline and power surplus apart from rich minerals”.
