The two-day meeting of youth and sports ministers from the BRICS countries concluded in Visakhapatnam on Sunday with a call for youth cooperation in enhancing skills and other fields.
Led by Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya, the delegates adopted a joint statement for youth cooperation and a consensus sports joint declaration.
The joint declaration is aimed at boosting athlete exchanges.
It was decided at the meeting to form a working group to chalk out plans on sports science, AI and digital technology.
It was also announced at the meeting to hold a seminar on sports manufacturing and technology at Udaipur in November and hold indigenous games on October 12 and 13 in Ahmedabad.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu hosted dinner for the delegates on Saturday night.
Sports and youth affairs ministers from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
