
A picturesque sight in Araku valley
With the onset of winter, the tourist season will soon be peaking in Visakhapatnam. Among the many attractive places throughout the district, Araku stands apart as an alluring destination. Be it for the astonishing sunrise views, or for the spectacular lush green hills, or even for its world-renowned coffee plantations, Araku has given us innumerable reasons to be there. As the number of tourists to Araku generally tends to be high during the tourist season, the officials have introduced special weekend trains from Visakhapatnam to Araku.
The weekend special trains from Visakhapatnam to Araku will operate on 1,2, 8 and 9 December. Commencing from Visakhapatnam at 8:50 in the morning, the train will be travelling through a spectacular route before reaching Araku at 11:50 am. The locomotive will then leave Araku at 2:00 pm to carry the passengers back to Visakhapatnam.
Most of the tourists from Visakhapatnam prefer travelling to Araku via a train as the journey inevitable offers some breathtaking spectacles to behold. From lush green hills to the verdant ghat sections, from the thrilling tunnel rides to the gushing waterfalls, multiple sights end up thrilling the tourists on this journey.
While in Araku, you can also spend some special time with your loved ones by staying warm indoors or even embrace your solitude by going for a walk on its lonely road. The Borra Caves too, have impressed us all and we have always found something very magical in it. A visit to Araku Valley is never complete without visiting the Borra Caves.
