
East Coast Railway has announced special trains connecting Visakhapatnam to Cheralpalli to accommodate the increased passenger surge during the Dasara festival.
Train number 08589, the Visakhapatnam-Cherlapali Dasara special, will depart from Visakhapatnam on October 3rd at 7:30 PM. The train will arrive at its destination, Cherlapalli, at 10:00 AM the next day.
The return train, train number 08590, will depart from Cherlapalli on October 4th at 8:00 PM. It will reach Visakhapatnam at 11:45 AM.
Both of these Visakhapatnam special trains for Dasara will stop at 10 intermediate stations, including important junctions such as Guntur, Rajahmundry, Anakapalle, Vijayawada, and Tuni. Smaller stations such as Nalgonda, Annavaram, Nidadavolu, and Elamanchili are also included.
The city is witnessing heavy passenger traffic due to the Dasara festival holidays. Trains for Vijayawada and Bhubaneswar, along with buses headed to Salur, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam, are running at maximum capacity. Some of the trains include special train services such as the Visakhapatnam-Guntur Simhadri Express, the Visakhapatnam-Brahmapur Express, the Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada Ratnachal Express, the Visakhapatnam-Bhubaneswar Intercity Express, and the Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Janmabhoomi Express, among others.
