The Waltair division has advised passengers not to carry firecrackers with them and discourage their fellow passengers from carrying them too. Personnel are posted at the entrance and exit points of the stations to check passenger baggage.

Five mobile squads will check the trains while seven civilian defence staff are posted at Duvvada, Raygada, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam stations.
