Observing heroes in real life is extraordinary. One such hero is Dileep Singh Meena, Sr Assistant Loco-Pilot of Visakhapatnam station of East Coast Railway. This Vizag employee averted a possible mishap by being alert and exercising good judgement. The Vizag train pilot has been felicitated by East Coast Railway for his pro-active working.
The railway employee was on duty on Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin Samata Express from Visakhapatnam to Titilagarh on July 27. He observed a tractor trying to cross the track in front of the speeding train between Kandel Road and Kesinga Station. He applied emergency brakes and averted a possible mishap. In recent times, the railway has been more in news for disasters and accidents. The train was brought under control and loss of life and property avoided.
The Vizag loco-pilot Meena was acknowledged and applauded by general manager of ECoR, Umesh Singh. He has also been felicitated with cash award.
