swachhta app
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Visakhapatnam ranked fifth in the last Swachh Survey conducted in the country, competing against 78 other cities. The GVMC is stepping up its game & going digital to keep up its rankings, as it will be competing with 500 cities now on January 4. With focus on solid waste management, the GVMC wants Vizagites to make use of the recently launched Swachhata app to register their complaints.
The Swachhata app was launched by the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD) so citizens can register complaints about civic related issues. The GVMC Commissioner M Harinarayanan stated that it will be easy to address complaints through the app, ensuring immediate response.
How the app works:
1 – Citizens take a picture of their civic related issues and upload it into its related category.
2 – While the picture is being taken, the app captures the location.
3 – Type in a landmark for where the picture was taken.
4 – Complaint will be assigned to concerned sanitary inspector/engineer.
5 – Users can also vote up complaints registered by other users that are relevant to them.
6 – If unsatisfied with the resolution, users can reopen complaint.
The GVMC Commissioner announced that the sanitary inspectors will be given a set time frame to address the issues. Further awareness will be taken up on waste management by the GVMC. He also announced that organic waste convertors will be set up in Rythu Bazaars and Poorna Market where compost will be prepared from the waste. The convertors will be set up in some other areas too.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
