VMRDA chief, Joint Commissioner take part in Urban Mobility India meet

VMRDA Chairman M V Pranav Gopal and Joint Commissioner K Ramesh participated in the 18th Urban Mobility India Conference and Expo 2025 being held in Gurugram under the auspices of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India.

Pranav Gopal and Ramesh represented the State Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department at the meeting. Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal, who inaugurated the conference on 7 November, explained various measures to be taken for travel facilities, pollution-free travel, better transport facilities and congestion control in developing urban areas. “India is currently ranked third in the world in terms of metro networking and will soon be ranked second.”

Pranav Gopal and K Ramesh explained the current transport facilities in fast-developing Visakhapatnam and the proposed Metro Rail project at the Urban Mobility India Conference and Expo 2025.

They explained to the Union Minister that a detailed project report was being prepared for the Metro Rail project with the initiative of the Central and State Governments. Pranav

Gopal informed the Union Minister about the efforts being made to improve transport facilities and control traffic within the VMRDA. Later, he visited an exhibition organised on the Metro Rail projects implemented in various states.
