Vizag to be made more beautiful for partnership summit

The GVMC has initiated a drive to beautify Vizag city for the prestigious ICC partnership summit to be held on 14 and 15 November.

As delegates from various countries are expected to attend the two-day meet in large numbers, the government is keen on the beautification of the city.

Municipal Commissioner Ketan Garg, as a part of the exercise, visited the key areas like RK Beach, Park Hotel and Siripuram and made suggestions to the accompanying personnel on the works to be taken up. Illumination, white mark painting on roads, greenery, repair of roads and other similar works will be taken up as a part of the beautification drive.

While directing the officials to get the works completed in the time stipulated, he advised them to work in tandem.

Zonal commissioners, GVMC chief engineer P V V Satyanarayana and officials of other departments accompanied Ketan Garg.

Recently, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who attended the curtain raiser of the summit held in Vijayawada as the Chief guest, invited global industrialists to the Visakhapatnam meet.

Listing the advantages of investing in the State, the Chief Minister promised all support to those who come forward to invest in the State.
