
To manage the large influx of passengers during the Diwali festivities, the South Western Railway (SWR) has announced a special train from Bengaluru to Vizag that will run on Wednesdays.
This special train will be one-way. Train number 08544 will depart from Sir M Visvesvaraya Temple (SMVT), Bengaluru, at 3:50 pm on Wednesday. It will stop at Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Kuppam, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Renigunta, Gudur, Nellore, Gudivada, Kaikaluru, Akividu, Bhimavaram, Tanuku, Nidadavolu, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Elamanchili and Duvvada stations. The special train will arrive at Vizag at 1:30 pm on Thursday.
The Waltair Division of the East Coast Railway has announced a special one-time train from Visakhapatnam to Cherlapalli to accommodate the increased passengers during the festivals. The train number 08542 Cherlapalli-Visakhapatnam special will depart from Cherlapalli at 3:30 p.m. on October 22nd and arrive in Visakhapatnam at 7:00 a.m. the next day. The train will stop at Duvvada, Anakapalle, Elamanchili, Annavaram, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Nidadavolu, Tanuku, Bhimavaram Town, Akividu, Kaikalur, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Guntur, Sattenapalle, Piduguralla, Nadikude, Miryalaguda and Nalgonda.
Passengers who are planning to travel during the busy festive season should consider taking advantage of the special trains running from Cherlapalli and Bengaluru to Vizag, which offer a more comfortable and smoother travel experience during this peak time.
