
S K E Apparao, a senior ENT surgeon in Visakhapatnam and president of AMCOSA, who has been serving the ENT community for 40 years, was presented with the ‘Life Time Achievement Award’ in recognition of his services by the Association of Otolaryngologists of India (AOI).
Dwaipayan Mukherjee, president of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India, attended and praised Dr Apparao for his leadership of the ENT association as past president of AP State, past president of the South Zone ENT Association, and past president of the Indian Society of Otology. He was also lauded for his clinical expertise, contributions in teaching, mentorship to future generations, and representation in various fields in AP and other states, as well as in countries like Bangladesh and Singapore.
Over 700 delegates from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala attended the 20th South Zone ENT Conference held in Vijayawada from 10 to 12 October.
