Google data centre will change the face of Vizag: P.V.N. Madhav

A number of youth in Visakhapatnam will get jobs once Google establishes its data centre in the city, according to BJP State President P V N Madhav.

Giving a presentation on the upcoming data centre in Visakhapatnam on 21 October, Madhav said it would mark the beginning of a new era in Visakhapatnam. “The flow of investments by IT giants is going to change the face of the region,” he opined.

Observing that Visakhapatnam was progressing at a fast pace, the BJP leader said the decision of Google to set up its centre in Visakhapatnam was a great development. After the formation of the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh, many entrepreneurs showed interest in investing in the state.

Taking a dig at Congress and YSRCP for what he called their misinformation campaign on the Google centre, he said they were envious of the progress in the state.

“It seems former Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy does not like investments by Google in the state,” he said.
