The ministry of environment and forest is yet to give the environmental clearance for the further progress of the Bhogapuram International Airport by the month of April, 2017. Bhogapuram is a village in the Vizianagaram district.
This district is going to witness the international airport which is expected to be on par with the airports of other capital cities. The sources from the state government say that the proposal for the very same will be filed soon and the ministry shall look into it after the submission to the MoEF in the month of March.
One of the authorities from the government of Andhra Pradesh reportedly stated that the public hearing for this project took place last month. They are positive about the meeting that is to take place in March. Another authority reportedly said, “Once the environmental clearance proposal is sanctioned, we are positive to close bidding in a span of two months”.
This project shall be consummated by June, 2017. All set and done, we are going to experience one of the biggest international airports alongside Visakhapatnam.
