Vizag gets global focus: VMRDA chief

Visakhapatnam, which is hosting the ongoing CII partnership summit, is catching the eye of the entire world as several countries are interested in investing in the State, according to VMRDA Chairman Pranav Gopal.

The initiative taken by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Nara Lokesh made several countries come forward to set up projects in the State, said Pranav Gopal on 14 November.

The two leaders toured abroad and instilled faith in industrialists there, he said, observing that the flow of investments was due to their endeavour.

The VMRDA chief said that some MoUs were signed even before the commencement of the summit, and Lokesh performed bhoomi puja for five companies, including some IT firms.

The agreements would pave the way for the generation of jobs on a large scale, he pointed out.
