In this regard, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) is using digital capacities to cut no slack in the civic facilities in a smart city. There is a major digital up-gradation in their online profile and real time inputs and status of civil facilities will be fed into their Command and Control Center. We are looking at better accountability, transparency and efficiency. The handle which was launched by CM Chandrababu Naidu will now bear fruit.

One can now access the information required by going through the website or the app that GVMC has provided. Use of a smartphone is all one needs. This is a major digital boost and one that will have far reaching effects on the realization of Visakhapatnam Smart City project. All fields of public interest are included i.e water and power supply, beach surveillance, traffic management, pollution levels, weather and temperature etc.
