
The World Trade Market (WTM) 2025 was held in London from November 4th to 6th. In the event, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister, Kandula Durgesh, expressed that the state will position itself as a global hub for tourism due to its untapped potential in the tourism and hospitality sector.
He also stated that Andhra Pradesh has diverse attractions and will be promoted, which include natural beauties, spiritual sites, and heritage spots like Gandikota.
The Minister held discussions with over 20 international tour operators, hotel groups, and investors from the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sector, as well as tourism and travel media.
Kandula Durgesh, along with the Special Secretary (Tourism) Ajay Jain, inaugurated the Indian Ministry of Tourism and the Andhra Pradesh Tourism stand in the World Trade Market 2025 event. The Andhra Pradesh stall featured a captivating Kuchipudi dance performance, showcasing the state’s rich cultural heritage, beautiful coastline, and scenic landscapes. Visitors had the opportunity to sample Araku coffee by Native Araku Coffee. Furthermore, dignitaries were presented with colourful and playful Etikoppaka toys by the Gulab Tribe, which carry Geographical Indication (GI) tags.
