Visakhapatnam Police Officer suspended for alleged misbehaviour

In a shocking news, a police officer from the city of Visakhapatnam has allegedly misbehaved with a woman who came to him seeking justice. Acting over the same, Visakhapatnam Commissioner of Police, T Yoganand, has issued suspension orders to the accused.

The details

An IT employee working in city approached the three town police station, complaining that a man had allegedly cheated her of marriage. The woman claimed that they both were in a relationship for quite some time and even had proofs to prove the same. Three town station Circle Inspector, Bendi Apparao, who handled the case, acted responsibly initially. It has also been learned that he even made progress with the investigation into the case.

The cop, however, started behaving disrespectfully with the complainant a few days later. The woman, prior to directly reporting the matter to the authorities, gathered sufficient proofs of his misbehaviour towards her and reported the matter to city’s Commissioner of Police, Mr. T Yoganand. After going through these proofs, the CP has acted swiftly and issued suspension orders to Apparao.

As per a report in a local daily, the woman intended to escalate the matter to higher officials and has refrained from registering a case against the cop.
