Mahesh Babu’s latest film, Maharshi, has set the cash registers ringing at the ticket windows. Getting rave reviews from critics and audience alike, the Vamshi Paidipally directorial is running to packed houses in the Telugu states. Interestingly, Maharshi, which marks the 25th film in Mahesh Babu‘s career, recently received a special message from the Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, the veteran politician wrote, “Watched Maharshi along with my family members. Portraying a rural theme, the film highlights the importance of farm conservation. Maharshi reminds us of the significance of farming. It is an exceptional film that everyone needs to watch.” Lauding Mahesh Babu and director Vamshi Paidipally for their efforts, Venkaiah Naidu also congratulated the producers of Maharshi.
Responding to the Vice President’s compliments, the film’s main man took to Twitter. “Sir.. This is such an honour for me personally & our whole team… it can’t get better than this. Thank you Sir, your words have inspired us to keep doing more films like “Maharshi”.. on behalf of Team Maharshi… humbled, Sir,” tweeted Mahesh Babu, who seemed to be floored with the Vice President’s appreciation of the film.
Vamshi Paidipally too was seemingly honoured with the Vice President’s gesture. “Sir..this is a huge honour for our film… Your appreciation will be cherished & make us feel much more responsible… we are delighted as a team to receive these compliments from You Sir…. Thank You Sir,” the director tweeted.
