Trupti canteen opened at RK Beach

As part of the State government’s initiative to provide hygienic, low-cost food to middle-class people and to help women earn some income, Trupti Canteen was inaugurated at RK Beach in Visakhapatnam on 6 November.

Run by members of DWACRA groups, the canteens offer meals, tiffin, and chicken and mutton biryani.

With regard to investment, banks have come forward to extend a loan facility, while MEPMA bears a part of the amount. The GVMC arranges loans for the women to run the canteens to be opened in some other parts of the city soon. The GVMC also allots a site free of cost for stalls.

Mayor Peela Srinivasa Rao, MLAs Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu and Vamsikrishna Srinivas and others participated in the inaugural of the New Trupti Canteen at RK Beach, Visakhapatnam.
