Rajamouli-Mahesh movie titled ‘Varanasi’

Bringing down the curtains on speculation over the title of the Rajamouli-Mahesh Babu’s adventure extravaganza, its makers unlocked the title – Varanasi – at an event held at Ramoji Rao Film City on 15 November night.

Amid glittering lights in the night, the show offered a visual delight to the fans of Mahesh Babu.

Besides revealing the title, the movie crew also screened a glimpse of the hero riding a bull with a trident in hand. The look made his fans go frenzy, making thunderous applause.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahesh Babu said, “I am putting everything to make the country, particularly Rajamouli, proud.”

Recalling the wish of his father, Krishna, to see him in a mythological character, Mahesh Babu said, “Now it comes to reality.”

One of the sequences in the movie was drawn from the Ramayana, and Mahesh appears as Rama in the movie, said Rajamouli, springing a surprise.

The much-anticipated high-budget pan-India movie is expected to release in March 2027 all over the world.

A couple of days ago, the makers also released the first-look posters of Prithvi and Priyanka Chopra.
