The City of Destiny, Vizag, is all set to host the 30th edition of the CII Partnership Summit for 2025. The event is scheduled for 14th and 15th November at the AU Engineering College Grounds. The event is jointly organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the aegis of the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The summit will host over 2,000 participants from 45 countries, including ministers, business leaders, and bureaucrats. More than 1,000 hotel rooms have been booked for the event. The event will also attract a total of Rs 9.76 lakh crore investments through 410 MoUs, creating a potential of over 7 lakh jobs.

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, will serve as co-chairman for the event. The Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, will act as chairman. Visakhapatnam city has undergone multiple beautification and modification efforts by the GVMC to host this global event. New road dividers, plants, and painted murals are being set up throughout the city for the CII Partnership Summit 2025. Here are some pictures of the beautification efforts:

Event Map:

The first day will begin with the inauguration of the summit and an opening plenary session on trade. This will set the tone for the summit, focusing on shaping the country’s global leadership through Government-Industry collaborations.

The second day will start with a plenary session about technology and innovation, exploring the state’s approach to supporting start-up co-creations and market access for regional founders.

Security Detail:

To monitor the event, over 1,000 security personnel have been assigned to guard the venue. The police have instructed all shop owners and public places to install CCTV cameras for monitoring the event.

Home Minister Anita participated in a review meeting about the security detail for the summit. She also directed the fire safety officers and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams to remain on standby to make sure the officials are on duty.

Safety personnel have been deployed at RK Beach, Tenneti Park, and Rushikonda Beaches, with designated swimmers present in key areas. The Home Minister emphasized proactive traffic management around RK Beach to avoid congestion during the summit.

There will be multiple entry points throughout the event, with door-frame metal detectors (DFMDs) present and several layers of security will be present. The summit’s participants have to carry their photo ID cards at all times for identification purposes.

Additionally, security at the airport, underground and parking lots will have thorough security checks in the wake of the Delhi bomb blast.
