5. House of Bindu Opens Rs 125 Crore Beverage Plant in Vizag

Karnataka-based House of Bindu launched its third manufacturing unit in Vizag, spread across 1.25 lakh sq ft. This facility supports expansion into North and East India, following plants in Puttur and Hyderabad.

6. Malaysia’s Eversendai Eyes Vizag for Mega Manufacturing Facility

During CM Naidu’s Singapore visit, Eversendai Engineering proposed a large-scale facility and training centre in Vizag or Krishnapatnam. Known for global icons like Burj Khalifa and Petronas Towers, the firm plans to invest in a 2 lakh sq m campus for structural fabrication.

7. Sattva Group to Build Rs 1,500 Crore Vantage Campus in Madhurawada

Unveiled at an investment roadshow in Bengaluru, the Sattva Vantage Vizag campus will span 30 acres and include:

• Grade-A office spaces

• Premium residences

• Smart infrastructure

8. ANSR to Set Up Innovation Campus in Vizag IT Hub

On 8 July, ANSR signed an MoU to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in the Madhurawada IT Cluster, expected to create 10,000 jobs. The MoU was signed in Bengaluru in the presence of Minister Nara Lokesh.

9. GO Issued for Cognizant’s IT Campus in Vizag

The AP government has allotted 22.19 acres in Madhurawada to Cognizant at ₹0.99 per acre. Phase 1 of operations must begin by June 2028, with at least 500 employees starting in leased space by June 2026.
The project carries an investment of Rs 1,582 crore and promises 8,000 jobs.

10. South Coast Railway DPR Approved + Vizag Station Redevelopment Begins

Among the much-anticipated developments in Visakhapatnam this July, there are interesting updates in store for the Railway. The Railway Board has cleared the South Coast Railway Zone DPR, based in Vizag.

Additionally, several upgrades the Visakhapatnam Railway Station were announced and clarified this month, including:

• 14 platforms (up from 8)

• 72m air concourse with food courts, shops

• Dedicated Vande Bharat terminal platforms

• 36 lifts, 24 escalators, 108m access corridor

Work is already underway on this Rs 500 crore transformation.

11. Vizag Metro: Tenders Invited, Global Consultants Appointed

Tenders were invited for 40% of the Rs 11,498 crore Vizag Metro project on 25 July.

APCMRL assigned SYSTRA (France) as a consultant to oversee Visakhapatnam’s metro, while TYPSA (Spain) takes on Vijayawada’s. Work is targeted for completion in 3 years.
