
The Titli Cyclone is inches away to hit the coastline of Andhra Pradesh. Vizag city is likely to face more than 100km/hr wind speed and heavy rainfall.
The Yo Vizag team is constantly in touch with the Cyclone Warning Centre and as per the reports, Titli took shape into a very severe cyclone. An official from the CWC said, ” It has turned into a severe cyclone. The city would be experiencing gusty winds at the speed more than 120km/hr.”
On speaking about the area which is likely to face a severe wrath of the cyclone, ” Srikakulam is under the danger radar since the place is close in proximity with the cyclone movement. The wind speed would be more than 140km/hr.”
As of now, Titli is currently 130 km away from Kalingapatnam and would be crossing the shore between Kalingapatnam and Gopalpur between 4 am and 8 am.
Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts of Andhra Pradesh, and Gajapati, Ganjam, Khurda, Nayagarh and Puri districts of Odisha are the pointed out places under the danger radar.
A control room has been set up at Srikakulam district headquarters with collector Dhananjaya Reddy monitoring the situation from time to time.
