3. Tubbad

The story revolves around a fictional folktale about a greedy god, Hastar, whose worship has been banished. A village is cursed with continuous rain due to their lord building a shrine for Hastaar. A young Vinayaka Rao, his little brother and his mother, who is the mistress of the village’s lord, are forced to leave the village after a horrendous turn of events. Vinayakas’s immortal, monstrous grandmother reveals a secret that changes his life forever.

4. Pari

Anushka Sharma plays Rukshana, who is rescued by a kind man who finds her chained in a secluded hut. He falls for her and risks his engagement with his fiancée, but he realises that Rukshana is no ordinary human being, and discovers a gruesome ritual and Rukshana’s kind.

5. Ashram

A baba ammasses a huge following of devotees and brainwashes them to the extent where they would do anything for him and follow blind faith. He uses his power to gain political influence and rapes minors and women. He murders anyone who poses a threat to him.
