
Round Table Conference AU
Andhra University College of Engineering hosted a round table conference for one day here in Visakhapatnam yesterday. The main topic of the conference was ‘Andhra University- Defence Joint Education and Research Programme’.
The programme was graced by the Vice Chancellor of Andhra University, Prof. G Nageswara Rao, who also inaugurated it. In attendance were Air Marshal SS Sarma, Indian Airforce Headquarters, New Delhi and also Vice-Admiral SR Sharma, Director General of Naval Projects.
The main objective of this one day workshop was to explore the various options that exist for joint avenues so as to prepare a concrete plan to collaborate with Andhra University and also the Defence sector in a myriad range of aspects related to Education and Research.
“The objective of the workshop is to explore the joint avenues and prepare a road map for collaboration of Andhra University and the defense sector in the aspects of education and research,” Prof. Avadhani reportedly said. The programe saw attendance from senior officers and flag officers belonging to the three armed forces, Indian Coast Guard as well as MES.
They also organized a one-day workshop on “Training and Placement as Commissioned Officers in Defense Services” on Saturday. The program was inaugurated today by the Vice-Chancellor Nageswara Rao along with Vice-Admiral S.R. Sharma, Director General of Naval Projects and Air Vice-Marshall S.S Sarma, of the Indian Air force Headquarters. Over 200 students took part in the event.
