1. SIPB Approves Major Projects

State-Level Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting, at various meetings chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, approved several projects for Vizag. These nclude

  • ITC Hotels Ltd: Rs 328 crore, expected to create 1,100 jobs

  • Phenom People Pvt Ltd: Rs 205 crore, expected to create 2,500 jobs

  • Lansum Ltd: Rs 86 crore, expected to create 720 jobs

  • Sify Infinity – Land identified: 3 acres in IT Hills and 50 acres in Paradesipalem
  • BVM (Kapil Group) – 30 acres in Yendada

In addition to these, Lulu Shopping Malls International Ltd received a green light for an investment of Rs 1,222 crore across Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, expected to generate 1,500 jobs.

2. Lulu Mall Gets Prime Land in Harbour Park

The AP government has formally leased 13.74 acres of land in Harbour Park to Lulu International Shopping Malls Ltd for 99 years, fast-tracking the iconic mall’s development on Beach Road.

The project will span 13.5 lakh sq ft and include a Lulu Supermarket, Fashion store, Family Entertainment Centre, and more. The lease follows the 2024–29 State Tourism Land Allocation Policy.
