Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) Chairman Pranav Gopal has directed officials to ensure completion of the ‘Trishul’ project on Kailasagiri, Vizag, by January next so that it can be opened to the public view from Sivarathri.
The VMRDA Chairman, who reviewed the progress of its works on the hilltop along with officials on 23 October, said the 65-foot trident was being installed for Rs 3.5 crore.
Stating that the Trishul on Kailasagiri can be seen from any corner of the Vizag city, he hoped it would catch the eye of tourists.
Joint Commissioner Ramesh, engineers and others accompanied the VMRDA Chairman.
