Woman charged with killing mother-in-law

Determined to murder her mother-in-law, a woman has watched a series of videos that show ‘how to kill an old lady’ and executed it and finally landed behind bars, according to the latest Vizag news.

According to reports, a woman, Lalita, who stays along with her husband, children and mother-in-law in an apartment in the 98 ward of Visakhapatnam, allegedly set her mother-in-law on fire after tying her hands and legs and pouring petrol on her on 7 November. She committed the crime when her husband went out.

When the police visited the house, following the information, they found the old woman had been burnt alive. Lalita informed the police that a fire broke out in the house due to a short-circuit in the TV.

When the police, suspecting foul play, interrogated the woman, she reportedly confessed to the crime.
