The suicide of a degree student of a college in Visakhapatnam on 31 October remained a mystery as the police registered it as a suspicious death.
The student, Saiteja, was found hanging at the house in MVP Colony. Police, who started the investigation, sent the body to KGH for post-mortem examination.
Blaming two women lecturers of the college for the suicide by Saiteja, his father alleged harassment by the two lecturers. “Unable to bear it, my son took the extreme step,” he alleged.
Meanwhile, the friends of Saiteja staged a protest in front of the college demanding action against the two lecturers. As a tense situation prevailed on the campus, the police interfered and pacified the agitating students.
The college management reportedly suspended the two lecturers.
Investigation is on.
