The Andhra Pradesh government will sign 410 MoUs for investments to the tune of Rs. 9.8 lakh crore during the two-day partnership summit to be held in Visakhapatnam on 14 and 15 November, according to HRD and IT Minister Nara Lokesh.
Speaking to the media after holding a review meeting on preparations for the summit, Lokesh said the meeting would discuss various issues related to the industrial sector and the role of Andhra Pradesh.
“Delegates from 45 countries have already confirmed their participation in the summit. Besides, Union Ministers Nirmala Seetharaman, Piyush Goyal, and Ashwini Vaishnav will attend it,” said the minister.
Claiming several companies were showing interest in investing in the state, he attributed it to the policies being adopted by the government.
The proposed MoUs would result in the generation of jobs on a large scale, said Lokesh.
The minister reiterated that the government was committed to developing all the regions equally with a focus on decentralization progress.
Accusing YSRCP of trying to stall progress in the state, Lokesh said the party was trying to get political mileage by raking up regionalism and casteism.
