Eluru is a city in Andhra Pradesh, 280 kilometres away from Vizag. It is along the Tammileru River, which adds to the scenic view of the city. Eluru is a beautiful city with many must-visit places such as temples, parks, and lakes. The city is also well known for its wool-pile carpets and hand-woven products.

#1 Dwaraka Tirumala

Just an hour away from Eluru is this beautiful temple which is a replica of the Tirupati Temple. Dwaraka Tirumala is also known by the name ‘Chinna Tirupati’ which means mini Tirupati. Similar to the main shrine of Tirupati, this temple is frequently footed by pilgrims daily.

#2 Kolleru Bird Sanctuary

Kolleru Bird Sanctuary is a famous tourist attraction in Andhra Pradesh. This bird sanctuary, established in 1999, spans the districts of West Godavari and Krishna. It attracts a large number of tourists as it is home to a variety of avifauna in Andhra Pradesh. Visitors can spot various birds in the sanctuary throughout the year. This is one of the must-visit places just forty minutes away from Eluru at Kolleru Lake.

#3 Balayogi Science Park

This park proves that science can also be fun. Named after the former speaker of the Lok Sabha, the late GMC Balayogi, the science park in Eluru is a major site of interest. To educate people about the logic behind each phenomenon, Balayogi Science Park is the right place that an individual should visit. Presently, this park is seen as an apt place for educational excursions, especially for schools.

#4 Maddi Anjaneya Temple

This is a must-visit temple if you happen to be in Eluru. Achanta Rameswara Swamy Temple is another temple nearby that you can pay a visit to.

#5 Church of South India

This church is also quite popular in Eluru. Do pay your respects here if you plan a trip to this city.
