In this biopic, Adivi Sesh plays Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was martyred during the Taj Hotel terror attack in Mumbai. Sandeep, who leads the special task force, was hit by fatal bullet shots while trying to divert the terrorists from the sixth floor, where hostages were being evacuated. He lost his life while saving a fellow soldier and also keeping the terrorists from reaching the hostages. He was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra, the highest gallantry award in India.

During the 1971 War of Basantar, 21-year-old Lt.Arun Khaterpal, a valourous and brave soldier, was martyred after destroying 10 enemy tanks. He was passionate, determined, and the movie also gives us a glimpse into his short-lived love life. The movie climax shows Arun’s father visiting Pakistan and being warmly hosted by the officer who killed him.

Akshay Kumar plays DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, a witty but forgetful official who is on a mission to foil terror attacks in Mumbai. He receives a tip-off about terrorist living under the guise of a restaurant owner in Jaisalmer. Sleeper cells of 40 terrorists posing as Indians are activated. While trying to save the nation, he is also going through a tough patch with his wife, Ria.
