An advisory committee has been constituted to coordinate the government, educationists, industrialists, and startups for the development of the IT sector in the State. An order has been issued to this effect.
The committee will focus on basic digital facilities, talent readiness, and research to prepare a roadmap for IT development.
The panel has been entrusted with the task of designing the best policies for IT growth after eliciting the views of partners in the government.
Besides making suggestions to the government on the provision of world-class facilities, the establishment of data centres and IT parks, it recommends policies to attract investments.
The committee will also work on better human resources to meet the needs of industries.
With the cooperation of educational institutes, entrepreneurs, and skill development centres, the panel will work on identifying skills of global standards.
Besides State HRD and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, the committee consists of experts from various fields, heads of global capability centres, and entrepreneurs.
