Indian Idol 12: List of contestants eliminated so far

The latest season of Indian Idol, one of the most popular reality shows in India, has been garnering a positive response among viewers across the country. The grand premiere was launched in December 2020 with 15 contestants in the race for the prestigious title. With new and versatile themes, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to amp up the entertainment quotient. While the show witnessed six evictions until now, let us look back at the contestants who were eliminated from Indian Idol 12, as we are set to usher in yet another weekend of soulful performances.

List of contestants eliminated from Indian Idol 12 so far:

# 1 Saahil Solanki

The first and the most-unexpected elimination of this season was the eviction of Saahil on 3 January. Before entering Indian Idol 12, the singer had previously taken part in other shows including Voice India and Saregamapa. Specialised in singing Punjabi tracks, Saahil will be best remembered for his rendition to Sukhwinder Singh’s ‘Slow Motion Angreza’ at Indian Idol.

#2 Samyak Prasanna

The second elimination from the show saw the youngest male contestant of Indian Idol 12, Samyak bid adieu to the show. Besides singing, the sixteen-year-old lad holds a black-belt in Taekwondo. Despite flooring the special guest, Udit Narayan, with his performance to the latter’s ‘Gazab ka hai din’, during the ‘Family Special’ episode, he failed to impress the judges. Considering the scores from the panel and the votes from the viewers, Samyak was asked to leave the show last Sunday.

#3 Vaishnav Girish

Vaishnav Girish was the third contestant to be eliminated from the singing reality show. Hailing from Kerala, Girish had even impressed the audience as a young boy in the second season of Indian Idol Junior. It may be recalled that while Girish couldn’t quite manage to get the judges’ nod in the audition, he was given a second chance, which he grabbed with both hands to make it to the final 15.

#4 Anushka Banerjee

The fourth-round elimination turned out to be heartbreaking for the fans of Anushka Banerjee. The 20-year-old had delivered some memorable performances during her tenure at the show and managed to impress quite a few music lovers. However, her road to the title was cut short recently in the voting process.

#5 Sireesha Bhagavatula

Hailing from Vizag, the talented singer wooed the audience with her magical vocals, marking herself as a strong title contender. However, the case was not to be as Sireesha was eliminated from Indian Idol season 12 on 14 March. With Sireesha’s elimination from the show, 10 contestants are vying for the title.

#6 Nachiket Lele

The latest round of elimination saw Nachiket Lele bid adieu to Indian Idol. Thanking the viewers, Mr Lele said that he’s glad that the audience has never failed to recognize the efforts he had put in while enacting the roles when singing on the stage. He assured his fans that he will work towards presenting great music from this very moment.
