Here is the weekly rain forecast for Vizag

For the past few days, Vizag has been witnessing altering weather conditions, rough winds, and inconsistent rains of over 100 mm. With commotion regarding a possible cyclone, and questions arising on how long will the rains continue, Yo! Vizag got in touch with Andhra Pradesh Weatherman. Here is the weekly rain forecast for the forthcoming week in Vizag.

The current showers in Vizag, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram are due to the lingering low-pressure areas that have been bringing rains and thundershowers. “There is a low-pressure area that is formed over South Karnataka and South Ananthapur. Due to this weather cycle, moisture is being pulled from the Bay of Bengal that is in turn causing rains in the north coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh. As and when the low pressure moves towards the Arabian Sea the rains will reduce considerably. However, chances of passing spells still persist,” says Sai Praneeth aka Andhra Pradesh Weatherman.

Here is the weekly rain forecast for the coming week in Vizag as predicted by Andhra Pradesh Weatherman

14 November, 2021: Passing and isolated showers in the city. There will be sudden bursts of rain for short periods of time. The impact of these rains will be felt only in that pocket of the city that receives rainfall.

15 November, 2021: Passing and isolated showers in the city. There will be sudden bursts of rain for short periods of time. The impact of these rains will be felt only in that pocket of the city that receives rainfall.

16 November, 2021: Passing and isolated showers in the city. There will be sudden bursts of rain for short periods of time. The impact of these rains will be felt only in that pocket of the city that receives rainfall.

17 November, 2021: Vizag will witness a break from the passing and isolated showers. From now on, the weather conditions will depend on the crossing point of the cyclonic circulations.

If the cyclonic circulation crosses, or lands, near the southern part of the state, Vizag will witness moderate rainfall. Similarly, if the cyclonic circulation crosses, or lands, near the northern part of the state, Vizag will witness extreme rainfall.

The coming Wednesday will also decide the possibility of a cyclone. Elucidating more on this the Weatherman informs “There is a possibility of a cyclone from 18 to 19 November, 2021. This is due to the low pressure that is over South Andaman. This weather cycle may intensify into a deep depression or a cyclone or something bigger”.

From 18 to 20 November, 2021, the weather conditions heavily depend upon the movement and landing of the cyclonic cycle. However, heavy rains, and a rough sea with a wind speed of over 40 kmph, is predicted in Vizag, in the remaining half of the week.

Warning for Fisherman

According to the predictions, the sea conditions would turn unfavourable for the fishermen from 17 November, 2021. A regular follow up of the official guidelines from the Cyclonic Warning Centre (CWC) is advisable.

Vizag Weather Bites:

In Vizag, November is supposed to be the last month of the post-monsoon autumn. It is predominantly warm in the City of Destiny, with temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius.
