Overspeeding proves fatal for a youngster in Visakhapatnam

In yet another road tragedy in Visakhapatnam, a young biker lost his life after he met with a fatal accident. The deceased was identified as M Rajesh (21), who belonged to Pendurthi Mandal. The accident also left another youngster severely injured.

The two youngsters, after attending a function at Anandapuram, met an unfortunate fate on their way back. Rajesh and Ganesh Kishore (20) were reportedly overspeeding on their bike. Things turned ugly when the bike hit a pit on the way, causing the duo to lose balance and fall 30 feet away. The fall caused serious injuries to both Rajesh and Kishore (the pillion rider). While the former breathed his last while being taken to the hospital, the latter’s state is known to be critical. The police, upon receiving the information of the accident in Visakhapatnam, investigated the site and registered a case.

Rajesh, an auto-rickshaw driver, is survived by his parents and a sister. With the family gearing up for the sister’s wedding, Rajesh’s untimely demise has left his parents in a state of total dismay.

The latest incident has once again brought the horrors of overspeeding into the light. Despite the officials organising several awareness drives and taking different measures, the accidents have been on the rise in Visakhapatnam.
