The Bookaholic team
Bookaholic is a fresh startup, from Vizag, that turns dreams into realities. Teja Kovvali interacts with Samvedh, CEO Bookaholic.
“I noticed that on the one hand, some people had many books with no time to read, and on the other, a few were saving up money to purchase books. This was when I thought of bridging this gap. Along with my friends- Mahesh, Raju, and Yeshwanth; we eventually came up with the concept of Bookaholic.”
“Bookaholic is a book-sharing platform that enables readers to access many books. Readers can either use our website or call us directly to avail their favourite books free of cost. Each reader is given a time frame of 15 days to return the book taken so as to ensure a continuous circulation among our readers.”
“Apart from enabling book-sharing, we even keep our readers engaged through meet-ups. We are even coming up with ‘Bookaholic Talks’ that will bring several successful people to share their inspirational stories.”
“We started over four months ago, and while our target group is growing, the challenges, such as getting people for meet-ups, demand special abilities. Our dedicated team of 40 volunteers put in their best efforts to ensure smooth operations.”
“Our website will soon enable location-based inputs to facilitate users to get their favourite book from their nearest lender. We even plan on implementing a ‘book-tracker’ feature to record its readers and their reviews. The wonderful response from Vizag has encouraged us to spread our presence in the big cities of Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai in the coming months.”
