64-year-old man brutally murdered in Vizag

In what has come a horrific incident, a 64-year-old man was found brutally murdered near Andhra University’s quarters in Visakhapatnam.

Reportedly, the deceased has been identified as B Venkata Ramana Murthy, a retired railways employee who was a resident of Kancharalapalem area. The police suspect that financial issues or any previous enmities could be behind this killing.

Assistant Commissioner of Police A Narasimha Murthy said that the victim had multiple injuries on his body and there’s a possibility that the culprits might have attacked the victim with hammers and sticks, among other weapons.

While further insights are awaited, it has been learned that preliminary investigation by the police revealed that some close associate of the victim could have been involved in this ghastly crime.

The police are currently on the lookout for Vara Prasad and Jagadeesh, with whom the victim was spotted last.

About a month ago, another such shocker revealed that an RTC employee man was brutally murdered near Simhadri Super Thermal Station in Visakhapatnam on Thursday. The man was allegedly pummeled by iron rods by a group of individuals.
