Visakhapatnam district is the richest district in Andhra Pradesh. Gajuwaka Assembly constituency in Visakhapatnam district has emerged as the richest among other constituencies. The Andhra Pradesh government has conducted the survey for all the 175 constituencies in Visakhapatnam. They estimated the per capita income (PCI) was calculated.
The total Per Capita Income (PCI) of Visakhapatnam is Rs. 2, 64,332. The survey was conducted to plan out development strategies at the assembly segment level. When it comes to the three smart cities, Visakhapatnam stands at the top. The four assembly segments in Visakhapatnam city have PCI ranging from Rs 1, 17,863 to Rs 1, 74,109.
The state government will give the responsibility of development to the state legislators; they will also devise the plan for it. The development plans are at the final stage and will be probably released next month.
