Amit Shah lashes out at YSRCP government during public meeting in Visakhapatnam

Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah has come down heavily on the YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh, alleging that it indulged in corruption in the last four years. Addressing a public meeting held at the railway grounds in Visakhapatnam on Sunday to mark the completion of nine years of the Modi government at Centre, Amit Shah said, “Visakhapatnam has turned into a hub for the land mafia, mining scams and drug traffickers under the regime of the YSRCP.”

“Implementing welfare schemes with the Central Government funds, Jagan is claiming credit for it. The Modi government, in the last nine years, sanctioned 5 lakh crores for Andhra Pradesh, but no progress was seen in the state,” he voiced. Further, Shah questioned the government regarding the funds from the Centre.

Andhra Pradesh stands third with regard to farmers’ suicides, and the present YSRCP government should be ashamed of it, Amit Shah pointed out. Listing the achievements of the BJP government, he highlighted that 230 crore vaccine doses were supplied free of cost during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Home Minister stated that the number of highways increased astronomically from 4,000 to 11,000 during the nine years of Modi’s regime.

Commenting about BJP’s aid in developing Visakhapatnam during the public meeting, Amit Shah expressed the railway station would be developed with 450 crores. He added that two Vande Bharat trains were introduced in the Telugu-speaking states alongside developing Visakhapatnam, Tirupathi, Amaravati and Kakinada as smart cities.

Taking a dig at the UPA, Shah alleged that corruption was deep-rooted during its tenure, while there was no single graft charge against the NDA government at the Centre. “Now, India is in the safe hands of Modi, and the country’s reputation spreads all over the world,” said the BJP strongman. He hailed the Prime Minister stating that the Modi mantra is reverberating across the globe. Predicting over 300 seats for the BJP and its allies in the next elections, Amit Shah appealed to the people to ensure over 20 seats for the party from Andhra Pradesh.
