Unity marches will be in city, Gajuwaka: Sribharat

M. Sribharat, MP, has said that a unity march will be organised on Beach Road in Visakhapatnam on 12 November in connection with the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

According to a press note by the office of the MP, the march will be held on 17 November at Gajuwaka to mark the occasion.

He called upon service organisations, public representatives, and officials to participate in the march in large numbers and make the event a grand success.

Recalling the services of Vallabhbhai Patel, the MP said he was a great freedom fighter and the true architect of India’s unity. Unfortunately, he was not given due recognition during the Congress regime. It was only after the NDA came to power that the world’s tallest statue of Sardar Patel was built in Gujarat.

The MP observed that the state government was still facing several administrative challenges due to the mismanagement of the previous YSRCP government.

At the CII partnership summit to be held in the city, Sribharat said that more than 400 MoUs were expected to be signed, bringing in investments worth over Rs. 9 lakh crore. “The city is being beautified ahead of the summit, and the Cabinet has already given approval for these investments. Several foundation stone-laying ceremonies will also take place in the coming week.”

Taking a dig at the YSRCP, he alleged that the party was against the growth of Andhra Pradesh.

“The YSRCP does not want the state to progress. It dislikes investments coming into Andhra Pradesh.

He further said that despite being taught a lesson by the people in the elections, there was no change in YSRCP’s attitude.”
