Navratri season is here upon us. Before the oomph and colour of festivities engulf you, stock up on all your bandhanis, ghagras and backless cholis to look your sexiest best. Navratri is all about garba, garba and more garba. Gorging on truckloads of mithai and dandiya-ing till wee hours to foot tapping numbers is the most common sight throughout Navratri. Throughout nine days, Devi is dressed in different coloured sarees as a part of the celebration. Worried as to how to doll up and rock your looks? There are nine different colours of navratri clothes for you also to follow this festive season.

Day 1 – Pratipada (RED)

When in doubt, wear red! Anyone can carry this cherry hue with élan. On the first day of puja, red is the preferred colour. Dig through your wardrobe and pull out those beautiful ghagras or lehengas and walk out in style.

Day 2 – Dwitiya (BLUE- NAVY BLUE)

Garba dresses in blue colour will make you look traditionally awesome on the day of the festival. Team it up with any contrast colours like red, yellow or blue. Tone it down with silver and you are sure to get those glances right.

Day 3 – Tritiya (YELLOW)

Yellow is considered to be auspicious in our Indian culture. Navratri pooja, navratri jewellery, and navratri gifts are mostly of yellow because of the bright effect it creates. Choli’s and ghagras are also found in the combinations of yellow with pink, red, blue and many other colours.

Day 4 – Chaturthi (GREEN)

Go green on the fourth day of navratri. It is a vibrant colour, which doesn’t deserve a miss. Play dress up and accessorize. Do not forget to stuff your face with loads of sweets and festive delicacies.

Day 5 – Panchami (GREY)

You might not be a great fan of grey colour as it might make you look grey, but pair it up with dark or bright colours to look ravishing. Accessorize right and bag in all the compliments.

Day 6 – Sashti (ORANGE)

The colour of the day is orange which represents prosperity and success. Orange coloured ethnic dresses with fancy works on it creates a stunning look on this day of festival. If you love bright colours, orange is a wonderful option to opt for any occasion.

Day 7 – Saptami (WHITE)

This day stands for the harmonious colour white for the festival. Dresses in white with beads and embroidery makes you stand out during the celebrations.

Day 8 – Ashtami (PINK)

Claimed to usually be the favourite colour of girls, pink is the colour of the day. Agree? Dress your best in pink, pairing with bright colours and look your desi best!

Day 9 – Navami (BLUE)

Sky blue is the colour of truth, wisdom and freedom. It is believed that Devi protects her devotees from evil if they wear blue. Ethnic blue sarees with beaded works gives you a grand look for the celebration.
