Online Applications for Welfare Schemes in Andhra Pradesh

An online portal has been developed for people to get access to various welfare schemes planned by the Government. The public can apply to all the schemes provided by the various departments, corporations and federations.

The State Government decided to have a common portal because of the delay in the implementation of these schemes or the half-implementation of these schemes. There used to be a problem in the bank linkage or the sanction of loans or the beneficiaries did not receive the payment. Most of the time the public wasn’t aware of the schemes planned out for them.

Collector Pravin Kumar said, “The applications can be registered on the website of AP-OHMMS.” (apobmms.cgg.gov.in). The applications will be available from today till the 18th of October.

The online portal will ease out the process of selection of the beneficiaries. At the end of the month a joint meeting would be held between the officials of the banks, departments, federations, corporations, MDPO’s to select the beneficiaries. The third party verification would be done after six months.

The applications are also available at Mee Seva centres in the city.
